More than twenty higher education institutions (HEIs) are supporting the launch of the Wildlife Philippines Podcast on November 6, 2020 by the Partnership for Biodiversity Conservation (PBC).

This biodiversity conservation partnership is an initiative of the U.S. Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Department of the Interior – Technical Assistance Program (US DOI-ITAP).

The Quezon for Environment conducted its second Quezon Ecological Summit via Zoom on October 31, 2020. It was attended by parish councils, students, and civil society organizations that have been forwarding environmental campaigns in Quezon Province for years.

To further design initiatives that will strengthen the resource management and biodiversity conservation, the Local Government of Zamboanga City, together with its partners from Protect Wildlife and Partnership for Biodiversity of USAID, organized an Environmental Summit on March 11, 2020 at Marcian Convention Center, Marcia Garden Hotel, Zamboanga City.

Through Pinag-isang Lakas ng mga Samahan sa Casiguran (PIGLACSA), farmers in Casiguran forest-zone areas were given a training on Upland Farmers Sectoral Rights and Paralegal on February 22, 2020 to deepen their understanding on the implications of forest zones to natural resources and different tenancy laws such as Community-based Forest Management Agreement (CBFMA) and ISF.

A series of Legal Cliniquing and Technical Conference was held in Mauban and Atimonan on January 23 and 25, respectively, as a part of the Tanggol Kalikasan’s campaign for full development and widespread use of renewable energy technologies, particularly microrenewables.
