Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. through its Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) launched another IEG Center at the Cagayan State University (CSU) in Caritan Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province last October 25, 2023.
The launching of the IEG Center and the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was led by its University President, Dr. Urduja G. Alvarado and Tanggol Kalikasan's President, Mr. Nolasco Ritz Lee B. Santos III.
The MOA signing was witnessed by BFAR Region II Director, Angel B. Encarnacion, CSU Legal Officer Atty. Chrizller Meg H. Salamat and TK Managing Director and concurrently the in-country coordinator of US DOI-ITAP, Atty. Ma. Ronely D. Bisquera-Sheen.
IEG is a strategic response to the ever-increasing demand for capacity building of LGUs. The training program is designed using the Integrated Ecosystems Approach, wherein a common resource base such as a bay, gulf, watershed, or declared protected area is considered, and, as far as practicable, training participants come from one contiguous area.
