Tanggol Kalikasan presented the RESTORE-WPS Project to the members of the Provincial Development Council (PDC) of Occidental Mindoro last November 29,2023 at the Training Center in the Provincial Government Compound, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.
The PDC, chaired by Governor Eduardo Gadiano, comprised 11 Municipal Mayors, Provincial and Municipal Planning and Development Officers and members of the civil society organizations and people’s organization.
Ms. Sally Bulatao discussed the strategic approach 4 of the RESTORE WPS project as well as the goals and objectives of the project. She also presented the emerging strategies:
- Expanding the coverage of the standards for sustainable tuna fishing.
- Modifying measure of results in terms of enterprises rolled out or enhanced rather than the count of inputs (research should lead to enterprise, infra should connect the enterprises, bridge raw material suppliers and processors)

Fish landings - Target incentives to bolster investment in priority areas.
- Identify priority products and processes-
- Investments in energy sufficiency, internet connectivity and transportation.
Meanwhile, Efrelyn Escultura explained the contents of the survey about the major commodities and enterprises present in their respective municipalities. Governor Gadiano then asked all municipal mayors to provide the necessary information to TK in support of the said project.
