About Us
Tanggol Kalikasan (Defense of Nature, TK) is a non-stock, non-profit, public interest environmental law office in the Philippines. It has operated as such since 1987, initially as a legal defense arm of Haribon Foundation until it registered as a separate entity in 2001. TK works with national and international partners and networks and has its national coordinating office in Quezon City. It also maintains fully-staffed area office in Lucena City (Southern Luzon Office).

Its mission is to facilitate the empowerment of communities and institutions to manage their ecosystem through law and other creative mechanisms.
Goals
Towards the fulfillment of its Vision and Mission, Tanggol Kalikasan shall render Public Interest Environmental Law services to the end that:
Local communities dependent on their natural resources are educated on and capable of enforcing their environmental rights.
Local and national policies are pro-people and pro-environment.
Government institutions actively promote and operationalize environmental governance.
A national constituency is actively and unceasingly ensuring environmental governance.
A national constituency is actively and unceasingly ensuring environmental defense.
