Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) and Tanggol Kalikasan (TK) recently formalized a partnership to strengthen environmental protection and community empowerment in the region.
On October 2nd, the Institute of Environment (IEG) marker was officially turned over to CNSC in Daet, Camarines Norte. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between the two institutions to address pressing environmental issues, particularly in coastal communities around the Philippine Rise.
The partnership, supported by the US Department of Interior Technical Assistance Program (DOI ITAP) and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), aims to equip local communities with the necessary knowledge and tools for effective environmental management. By promoting conservation, strengthening law enforcement, and ensuring sustainable fisheries, the project seeks to safeguard the livelihoods of countless Filipinos who rely on these resources.
