Tanggol Kalikasan took part in the implementation of the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, and Quezon (CALABARZON) last September 16-20, 2024 at Chateau Bleu Resort in Calamba, Laguna.
SGLGB is an award system recognizing barangays with outstanding governance practices established by the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-068. As a representative of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Regional Performance Assessment Team (RPAT), Tanggol Kalikasan participated in the review and validation of submitted documents, focusing on Environmental Management, particularly Solid Waste Management.
335 out of the 4000 barangays in the CALABARZON region were identified as potential candidates for the National SGLGB award.
