CASIGURAN, AURORA — Grantees under the Small Grants Programme 7 (SGP-7) gathered on March 18–19, 2026 in the scenic town of Casiguran, Aurora for a two-day Workshop on Project Implementation and Reporting aimed at strengthening project execution, accountability, and collaboration among partner organizations.

The activity provided participants with an opportunity to synchronize project updates and receive hands-on technical assistance in refining their activity designs, implementation strategies, and proposals.

A major focus of the workshop was the finalization of technical and financial reports to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and compliance. Through collaborative discussions and mentoring sessions, grantees were guided in improving documentation processes, addressing implementation concerns, and aligning their activities with program objectives and reporting requirements.

The event was formally opened by MENRO Jestonee C. Bitong, who shared valuable insights on the importance of collaboration between local leadership and environmental initiatives. He emphasized the vital role of community-based environmental governance and the importance of strengthening partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals.

The successful conduct of the workshop was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Aurora State College of Technology–Institute of Environmental Governance (ASCOT-IEG). By bringing together stakeholders, project implementers, and environmental advocates, the initiative reinforced SGP-7’s commitment to empowering communities and ensuring that environmental programs are implemented effectively and responsibly.
