POLILLO, QUEZON – June 29, 2026 – Tanggol Kalikasan, Inc. (TK), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Polillo led by Mayor Angelique E. Bosque-Pico, successfully conducted "Serbisyong Legal sa Isla: Bringing Unified Legal Aid Service to the Communities of Polillo, Quezon" at the Polillo Sports Complex.
The activity provided residents with legal education and free legal consultations on issues involving legal rights, environmental protection, and other community concerns. It aimed to improve access to justice by bringing legal services closer to island communities.
The program was attended by Barangay Council Members, Katarungang Pambarangay Focal Persons, Barangay Justice Representatives, VAWC Desk Officers, BCPC members, other stakeholders, and residents of Polillo.
The initiative concluded successfully, strengthening community awareness of legal rights while providing accessible legal assistance to residents, reaffirming the commitment of Tanggol Kalikasan and the LGU of Polillo to promote access to justice in geographically isolated communities. This initiative will continue by TK as part of its direct legal services program and pursuant to A.M. No. 22-11-01-SC of the Supreme Court.
