Palawan Island is a popular destination not only for beach lovers but also for mountaineers. Its highest peak is Mt. Matalingahan which is situated in the southern part of the Island. The mountain is the center of Mt. Matalingahan Protected Landscape, a major habitat of Palawan's rich biodiversity of flora and fauna that are endemic to the Philippines. For this episode, Palawan State University (PalSU) shares the beauty of their province through the ecosystem of Mt. Matalingahan and its importance to the local communities and the whole country.
