This podcast introduces one of the species at the deeper seafloor of Sto. Tomas Cove, La Union, Philippines, the sea cucumbers! Dubbed as earthworm of the sea, sea cucumbers are named for their unusual elongated, cylindrical and stout body shape that resembles a fat cucumber. Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) discusses the ecological importance of this marine species and some limitations in its commercial value.
